Question - What should we bring for our charter?
Bring enough clothing to be comfortable. A good pair of deck shoes (no dark soles please) is a good safety tip.
Plan on bringing a cooler to leave in your vehicle for your catch. Your fish will be cleaned and bagged and ice
is available. Bring enough water or non-alcoholic beverages to stay well hydrated and don’t forget your sunglasses
and sunscreen. All persons 17 or older will need a Michigan all species fishing license.
Annual and day licenses are available at local sporting stores and bait shops.
Question - How many fish can we keep?
The limit on Great Lakes salmon and trout combined is 5 per person, but no more than 3 of any one species. All
salmon (either Coho or Chinook) count toward the 3 fish allowed for each angler in the salmon grouping. We have
3 species of trout in Lake Michigan: Brown, Steelhead and Lake Trout.
Question - Where is Saugatuck, Michigan?
Saugatuck is located on the West coast of Lake Michigan roughly 75 miles North of the Michigan border. We are
approximately a one hour drive from Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo and Grand Haven.
Question - Where can we stay in the area?
There are a number of motel, bed and breakfast and summer rental cottages in the area. Please see our links page
for more information or call the Captain for recommendations.
Question - Can you arrange for lunches and drinks for our group?
We are able to offer box lunches and refreshments from several local businesses
for a reasonable fee. Please contact the Captain for options and costs.
