Captain Steve Orosz

At the helm of the J D Lady is Captain Steve Orosz. Captain Steve holds a U.S. Coast Guard Master Captain’s license for the Great Lakes and inland waters. Captain Steve is a devoted fisherman that enjoys sharing his enthusiasm for catching “anything that swims” with his customers. He spent his early youth fishing and boating on Big Star Lake and river fishing for trout on the Pere Marquette River long before salmon were planted in the Great Lakes. He has been a certified scuba diver since 1980 and has done extensive diving in the Florida Keys and recently in Hawaii. When Captain Steve is not fishing in Michigan or salt water fishing he spends time hunting, backpacking and traveling.

J D Lady

The J D Lady is a 30 foot Searay Weekender Model with twin 260 HP inboards. She is a wide and stable riding vessel. She has a seating area that can be fully enclosed in case of rain or rough weather. We can keep you warm and dry April through November in any seas or outside temperatures. There is a full galley with refrigerator and microwave for your food and beverages. We have equipped her with a satellite radio, TV and a portable DVD player as well as some games to keep the children occupied when they are not busy fighting fish. The head is spacious and clean. Our charter fishing boat is inspected by the USCG and the Michigan DNR. Equipment on board includes sonar, radar, mapping GPS, FishHawk, autopilot and a marine radio.
